You should know more than one language, ex: Java, C, JavaScript/ES5, ActionScript, SQL, HTML, etc. and be willing to master others.
Our tech stack inclues node.js, Socket.io/Websockets, Facebook, Java, Tomcat/RTMP/AMF, ActionScript, Heroku, Cloud9, Joynet, MongoHQ, AWS, JSON, text editors, build tools such as Ant and other platforms.
We are looking to hire the best programmers, not necessarily someone that has experience matching our stack.
In this organization, Services engineers also writes the client side calls in javascript and action script and the integration/unit tests and other team tools. The client side code you will be writing will invoke your services that call SQL and NoSQL databases in a scalable way, supporting gaming and chat applications.
For cultural fit, it helps if you enjoy gaming, and 'play well with others' as this is not a single developer environment.
If you don't have expertise in scalability, this is not the best fit.
You should count on getting a water cooled workstation, SSD and 27" monitor or similar.
